GENERAL INFORMATION

Mikkeli Running is a running event organized by the Mikkeli Kilpa-Veikot, which offers courses for beginners and experienced runners. The course run along the most beautiful lake views of Mikkeli, at the most only a couple of kilometers from the famous Mikkeli summer market.

REGISTRATION

Pre-registration ends July 1, 2026 at 23:59.
 

COMPETITION OFFICE

The competition office is open Saturday, July 4-th  8 am - 3 pm at the Esedu Etelä-Savon Ammattiopisto (Otavankatu 4, 50100 Mikkeli).
 

NUMBERS

Pre-entrants must apply for the race number at the race office to maraton by 9.30 and by 11:00 at the latest for other distances. The race number that contains microchip is personal and must not be shared with anyone else. The race number must be fully visible on the chest throughout the run. There is no need to return the numbers after the competition.
 

START AND FINISH

The start and the finish are located in the Mikkeli Urheilupuisto. Mikkelin Maraton at 10 pm. Marskin Kierros (21,1 km) and Kaihun Vartti (10,55 km) at 12 pm.

Päämajan Pyrähdys (5 km) start at 12 pm from 200m start point.

Finish will close at 4 pm.
 

STORAGE OF EQUIPMENT

For the duration of the event you can leave your personal belongings on the covered auditorium of Urheilupuisto. By displaying the race number you will get your equipment back. ATTENTION: the staff is not responsible for objects of value.
 

SAFETY

Road sections and footpaths are not closed to other traffic. Our traffic controllers are directing the traffic.
 

ROUTE MARKING

Every kilometer of the running route is clearly marked with kilometer signs. The route is carefully marked and at the intersections traffic controllers are guiding the runners. The basic route for all courses is the 10.55 kilometers run, which is run twice in a half marathon and once in a quarter marathon.

The 5 km route diverges from the basic route after passing underpass (at 1.55 km).

SERVICE POINTS

There are 3 service points on the 10.55km route. About 100 meters before the service station there is a sign. Service stations offer water and energy drink (Squeezy) on separate desks with signage.
 

PHOTOGRAPHY

During the event, we will take photos along the route. Pictures will be published in the gallery in our site after the event and could be used in the next year's events commercials. You can only publish images from the image bank by mentioning the photographer's name with the © or @ sign. We reserve all rights on our pictures.
 

CHANGING ROOMS

The changing rooms are located at the Esedu Etelä-Savon Ammattiopisto (Otavankatu 4, 50100 Mikkeli).
 

INSURANCE / FIRST AID

At the event, each runner runs on his own risk. Check the coverage of your insurance. First aid staff will be present at the race center throughout the event.
 

DROPPING OUT

If you need to suspend the race, contact the nearest service point where transportation to the finish line is arranged. Tell you are stopping the race and return the race number to the race agency.
 

ILLNESS

If you fall ill before the race or you suffer from any other long-term disease that may prevent you from attending, you will be eligible to carry over your participation right to the next year. Please submit your medical certificate to the competition office or to the Mikkelin Kilpa-Veikot Office.
